AT&T Lumia 900 gets firmware update, fixes display issue and Proximity Sensor

The AT&T Nokia 900 Lumia is having good success in the US market even though there have been some small annoying bugs like purple screen for instance - In short, when the screen would dim down to "low" greys would become purple across the whole display, including on graphics and photos

Thanks to the reporting of colleagues wpcentral we learn that Nokia and Microsoft, as promised , are releasing a firmware update that fixes many bugs including the purple screen. Here are some bugs that were corrected with this new firmware update:

• Purple Screen
• Proximity Sensor
• Minor corrections

Also Nokia noted that many other surprises are coming with the next updates:

"This update is only for Nokia Lumia 900 on AT&T’s network in the United States. In addition to the enhancements mentioned, we’ll be rolling out new updates and surprises in the near future to all Lumia 900 users, so stay tuned! "
