Chris Weber says the HTC WP8 line up is good for the ecosystem, but it takes more to match the Lumia smartphones

A few hours after the official launch of HTC Windows Phone 8 devices,Chris Weber the President of Global Sales and Marketing at Nokia, did not fail to comment on the arrival of the new devices from the Taiwanese manufacturer. Good for the entire ecosystem of Windows Phone, but unable, according to Weber to undermine the role occupied by the Lumia smartphones.
Weber first expressed a general assessment of the commitment of HTC with Windows Phone platform, defining the choice of the Taiwanese manufacturer to launch the new device WP8 as a "re-branding tactical." Very different, according to Weber, is Nokia's commitment to the WP platform. The company has structured the entire brand "Lumia" on the Windows Phone platform and commitment is full and complete. It is not, in other words, an attempt to diversify the product portfolio to lift the store, but, rather, a precise strategy long-term commercial pointing in a decisive manner to the mobile platform from Microsoft.

Chris Weber does not fail to launch a veiled dig very little to HTC. The reference is to the choice of HTC to "replicate" the wide range of colors available for the new device. Would not be enough to "copy" this feature to achieve the level of innovation introduced with the Lumia devices.

Putting aside the similarities in hardware between the device of HTC and Nokia, the commitment of the Finnish manufacturer, which has based its entire strategy on commericale partnership with Microsoft, it could represent a non-negligible for those who have yet to choose which Windows Phone 8 smartphone to buy.
