Almost a month after the official launch of Windows Phone 8 comes the first confirmation for a first minor release that will improve the current version, fixing bugs and integrating some features required in a loud voice by the whole environment. The update is called Apollo Plus and introduce some interesting news from support for VPN , to further exploit the Windows Phone within corporate networks specifications.
Another noteworthy feature is the Wi-Fi fix, which is a stable connection that does not suffer the switch to the standby state and kept active form always (if you want, of course), features that until now had been supported mainly dedicated applications such as Keep Alive .
Apollo Plus eventually also introduce the updates OTA (Over The Air) on Windows Phone, the first test for Microsoft that will be tested in future updates. No PC Suite or similar 'trick' in the future, but updates can be managed directly from the terminal as well as on other mobile platforms in direct competition.
We do not know if this update Microsoft will be able to include the long-awaitedNotification Center , perhaps the only great lack of this new operating system that the Redmond wants to make available as soon as possible. More details in the coming months we will have them officially Apollo Plus should be presented in February at the MMobile World Congress in Barcelona.
