Microsoft says Q1 2013 will be the release time WP7.8 update

After many rumors, Microsoft put an end to rumors about upgrading to Windows Phone 7.8 for the past generation Windows Phone smartphones, confirming much of the information regarding the WP7.8 update , about the time of release and the features that will be added.
Windows Phone 7.8 is currently in RTM and will arrive in the early months of the new year , as had been widely reported in previous articles.

As regards functions, as now promised by time arrives the new Start screen  with the tile of three different sizes. In addition comes the confirmation that will come the new colors for a total of 20 themes , customize lock screen with Bing backgrounds, a system of protection for the Exchange account password, and new applications and games like Words with Friends, Draw Something, Angry Birds and Angry Birds Space Star Wars .

No confirmation instead on additional features that may get on the Nokia Lumia line up, such as customizable ringtones, file sharing, and contacts via Bluetooth or filters for the camera. There are still a mystery functions and Xbox Music Club which has been rumored could be integrated with the new update. 

It is also confirmed that Windows Phone 7.8 is the new low-end of Windows Phone 8 , for the new devices that will be produced with this version with very competitive prices , as Nokia Lumia 510, which we already have seen and continue to support naturally existing in the discretion of the OEM.
