Survey - Windows Phone is the third platform chosen by the game developers with 8.8%
The Game Developer Magazine has published the results of its latest survey for the developers of games on different mobile platforms.
From the findings it is clear that the developers of games for mobile devices are more focused on the Apple platform with 94.6%, to follow with 70.7% of developers are dedicated to the Google platform and in the third position with 8, 8% of the developers interested in the Microsoft platform.

Windows Phone Marketplace extends to 22 new countries
Although, Microsoft’s Windows Phone marketplace is far from the likes of the gigantic Apple app store and the Google Play store, in terms of both the number of apps and its reach, the latest news from the Windows Phone makers reveal that their marketplace is now available across 22 new countries. The web-based marketplace has now been made available for Windows phone users across Bulgaria, Costa Rica, Croatia, Estonia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine, Venezuela, UAE, Bahrain, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Israel, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Windows Phone 8 shows up in I'm WP7 app statistics
While we are are awaiting the Tango update for Windows Phone, Microsoft is already testing a first version of Windows Phone 8. This information comes from the application "I'm WP7" that shows us the different builds of Windows Phone from the users that have installed this application.
As we can see from the image the build running under Windows Phone 8 is signed 8.0.9662.0. Many were the doubts about the veracity of the result showed the application. The developers have promptly declared that Windows Phone 8 is running an emulator, there appears to be counterfeit because they are using on the location of the emulator by default and there is a difference in the time zone.
Moreover wpcentral colleagues claim to have had a tip from reliable sources that Windows Phone 8 has begun internal testing aka "dogfooding" at Microsoft on March 30th.

Job post from Microsoft confirming Windows NT kernel in Windows Phone?
It was speculated for a long time that Windows Phone 8 will be running the Windows NT kernel, but so far these rumors have not been confirmed.
A recently published job post by Microsoft seems to indicate that Apollo and Windows 8 will indeed share some components and that Windows CE will be completely scraped.
