Nokia-Microsoft partnership strengthened with new Bing Maps services

The alliance between Nokia and Microsoft continue to be a mutual exchange of useful resources. The last in order of time relate to the traffic information services and geocoding provided by Nokia . These services have become an integral part of Bing Maps , a mapping system from Microsoft that in essence, may use the same resources of Nokia Maps.
The first novelty, rather obvious, is the possibility to use the services of Bing Maps traffic information to Nokia Maps, which are supplied in 24 nations.People in nearly all these countries will also be able to find out about incidents that might disrupt their journeys. Also, the traffic information in the US that was already available on Bing Maps now includes side streets.

The second fruit of the collaboration between Microsoft and Nokia is not visible immediately place using Bing Maps, but is also present. We refer to the use of the system of geocoding in Nokia's integrated mapping system from Microsoft. For geocoding is the set of algorithms that convert the result of searching for an address in the corresponding geographic coordinates (and vice versa). In practical terms, the use of Nokia's geocoding system will improve the efficiency of the system to search for locations and addresses in Bing Maps.
