Nokia confirms that the current Nokia Lumia devices will continue to receive support, new features and updates

A few days after the official presentation of the new Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 , Nokia reiterates its commitment to continue to support the current device Lumia (900, 800, 710 and 610) .Users owners of such devices must not therefore think that will be abandoned since the new smartphones Windows Phone 8 have become the protagonists of the new range of Nokia.
As reported in this post from Nokia Conversations, Nokia will continue to support the current Lumia providing, shortly, an update that will renew the user interface (which we know will be identical to that of Windows Phone 8), implementing new features, and releasing new applications. Among these are mentioned Cinemagraph to create nice photo animations, Smart Group Shot , to facilitate the sharing of your photos and Ringtone maker to create custom ringtones.
After applications Nokia City Lens and Nokia Counters that once the beta phase, reached the Windows Phone Marketplace, the Lumia first generation are preparing to receive a new set of applications and software updates that include:
  • Cinemagraph app, already seen during the presentation of the Lumia 920 and 820
  • The update of Smart Group Shot with some "surprises" that will make the task of shooting and sharing photos even easier
The new features from the new Windows Phone OS:
  • The new home screen of Windows Phone 8
  • The application Ringtone maker to create custom ringtones (only in certain markets)
  • Application update for the sharing of contacts that can be transferred via Bluetooth
  • File transfer to any other device using the Bluetooth interface
The updates described above will be made available in a manner that will be clarified in the coming weeks and will cover the entire current range Lumia (900, 800, 710 and 610).
Nokia will also continue to expand the software park of the current models with new unique applications as Zynga Games (Draw Something and Words with Friends) or app like  Bloomberg, WhatsApp, Groupon and many others.
The support of the Lumia range of smartphones is therefore is not questioned. We hope, of course, that the set of features that the current Nokia Lumia devices with WP 7.5 will inherit from the "big brothers" Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 20 will be even greater than the one we just described.
