AT&T winter sale from Amazon Wireless, Windows Phone at ultra-cheap prices

Right now Amazon Wireless has an AT&T Winter Sale going on and there's a quartet of Metro-flavored' choices available.

Specifically, they have the Samsung Focus Flash and HTC HD7S selling for a mere $0.01 with a 2-year contract. However, if you want one something more substantial, the $19.99 on-contract Samsung Focus S might appeal to you more. And finally, if you want to go big, and by big we mean ridiculously big, then the $144.99 on-contract HTC Titan will suit your needs.

So if you are looking to buy new smartphone we believe that all of the above devices are a great choice and you won’t be disappointed by any them.

AT&T’s Q1 2012 roadmap: Nokia Lumia 900 to launch March 18th for $99.99

BGR is claiming to have received portion of  AT&T’s 2012 roadmap, and has confirmed that  March 18th will be the date of the release of the LTE Nokia Lumia 900 on the network.

The most interesting information is the price point – they claim the LTE handset will be only $99 on contract – a new pricing level for a LTE handset which should spark some significant sales.BGR warn however that the handset has not received technical acceptance yet, and that the launch may be delayed due to this.

Rumor: Improved versions of the Nokia Lumia 900 will allegedly include 12 megapixel camera and coming to other carriers in Q3

This information comes from a source at a rival wireless carrier and not from the Microsoft marketing documentation I've referenced repeatedly. I have not confirmed this with other sources.

According to this source, AT&T has a 45-day exclusive hold on the Lumia 900. After that time, other carriers can negotiate with Nokia for a version of the handset that will work on their networks. The source speculates that T-Mobile (and probably Verizon, possibly Sprint) will be getting some version of the 900 after it's been released on AT&T, most likely in the third quarter of 2012.These improved versions of the 900 will allegedly include an improved, 12 megapixel camera, the source revealed.

Nokia getting top 20 EA Games for Nokia Lumia devices

On the official press release for the Nokia Lumia 900 they note some of the benefits of the 900. What a turn around it is for Nokia, not only to have a high end device subsidized on a US carrier, but also to list as one of the features to boast, a front facing camera.

On the press release it said that there were a few Nokia exclusives. The ones of most interest are the EA games.

More info after the break.

More Nokia Lumia 900 Specs revealed

PocketNow has shared new details about the Nokia Lumia 900 (aka, Ace), which is heading to AT&T. Despite past speculation that it would ship with the version of Windows Phone known as Tango, it will indeed have version 7.5 Mango. As Nokia's flagship phone, the Lumia 900 will sport:

  • Mango not Tango
  • 4.3″ WVGA
  • 512MB RAM
  • 8MP Camera (hope it’s actually a decent one this time)
  • 1830 mAh Battery.

Will have 1700MHz band for AT&T 160g, 18 more than Lumia LTE Nearly identical thickness, around 12mm

The only thing that surprises us is Nokia has finally broken their 1500mAh barrier. There’s 1830mAh on board.

Nokia Ace/Nokia Lumia 900 pics – front camera, bigger screen and AT&T logo

The pocketnow folks are at it again with a very clear image of a not yet announced, but much expected Nokia phone, the Nokia Ace. Looks pretty real. There’s a Nokia Logo shifted all the way to the left, above that a prominent front facing camera and on the right, AT&T branding. 4G signal might just be there for the sake of it.

While that reveal by itself may not mean much, the fact that a front-facing camera is visible in this shot suggests that there may well be other differences between this Windows Phone-powered handset and this similar-looking Lumia 800 (besides the rumored addition of LTE).

Rumour: Nokia Lumia 900 coming to AT&T, not Verizon

Its a slow news day so we will pass on this anonymous tip WMPoweruser has received today.

According to WMpoweruser  tipster the Nokia Ace will indeed be announced at CES and hit AT&;T in March. So far, so good, but the bad news is that Verizon is out of the game, and that the handset will not be coming to CDMA carriers at all.

The tip is obviously unverified so take it with a pinch of salt, but it would be consistent with other news and rumours going around.
