Morgan Stanley expects 37 million Windows Phone Nokia smartphones sold in 2012, 6 million from HTC!

With a good selection of smartphones on the way, Windows Phone is ready to take a significant market share of smartphones in the world, this at least according to Morgan Stanley analyst.

The analyst expects that Nokia will sell as many as 37 million smartphones in 2012, Windows Phone, HTC will reach 6 million, bringing the total to 43 million Windows Phone sold by these companies. Excluded from this count are Samsung, LG, Acer and ZTE, so the total number of smartphones sold should be even higher.  In 2012, according to analysts will be 600 million smartphones sold well, so if the prediction proves true of Stanley, Windows Phone would have a market share of between 7 and 10% at year-end, considering only the handsets from HTC and Nokia .

The Windows Phone Nokia smartphones should increase from 23 million in 2012 to 64 million in 2013, similar growth of HTC, which according to the analyst, will increase from 6 million to 10 million in 2013, bringing a total of 74 million smartphones sold in 2013 by the two companies.

RIM will license BlackBerry 10, HTC and Samsung among stakeholders?

The black period for RIM continues  but the company seems to want to keep persisting. After the rumors about the possibility of dismissing the two CEOs now comes the news that the BlackBerry 10 may be licensed to other manufacturers.

Sacrificing the hardware division to save the software seems to be RIM's plan appears to be in talks with manufacturers such as Samsung and HTC.

The rumor is to be taken with the tongs as both Samsung and HTC have already in the catalog Android and Windows Phone, as well as one for the Samsung Bada. The manufacturer of the Galaxy S2, however, could abandon Windows Phone the end of 2012 and, if this rumor were true, the BlackBerry 10 may be adopted by Samsung.

We'll see how the situation will evolve and if the rumors are denied or confirmed.

HTC and Samsung are preparing new LTE-equipped Windows Phone devices

HTC and Samsung are preparing new LTE-equipped Windows Phone devices. Both handsets will feature a pre-Tango version of Windows Phone that includes LTE support. HTC's 4G LTE Windows Phone is currently codenamed Radiant. This isn't the first time the codename has been mentioned, it was previously spotted running a post-Mango build of Windows Phone, originally thought to be codenamed Tango.

Samsung's 4G LTE phone will feature a large screen according to our source, pushing it beyond the 4.3-inch Samsung Focus S. The device is codenamed Mandel. Both handsets are expected to be made available in early 2012 alongside Nokia's LTE Windows Phone.

Microsoft has made no secret of its Windows Phone LTE plans and Verizon is clearly itching for a device.

While we may not see the HTC and Samsung LTE devices in time for CES, February's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona looks like a good launch platform for them and any further additions to the Windows Phone stable.

HTC 4G LTE Windows Phone to hit AT&T in early 2012

HTC is currently set to deliver an HTC Titan-like smartphone with a 4.7-inch display and 4G LTE to AT&T — the first LTE Windows Phone we know of — and the release date is currently slated for February 5th, so we should expect a CES announcement.

BGR has learned from a trusted source that HTC is preparing to switch up the company’s strategy a bit in 2012. In order to focus getting quality products to market, BGR has heard that HTC’s release schedule is going to be shockingly quiet for most of the first quarter next year. HTC will also release fewer phones overall in 2012 compared to 2011, we’re told. BGR will be given exclusive details surrounding several upcoming phones from the Taiwan-based vendor, including HTC’s first 4G Windows Phone for AT&T and its flagship Android handset for the first half of the year.
