Jorma Ollila - Nokia will soon produce tablets and hybrid devices

Jorma Ollila, Nokia's outgoing president, through an interview with the Financial Times has announced that the Finnish company will soon launch a new range of mobile devices and Tablet "hybrid". Ollila would have predicted this series of innovations to face strong pressure from shareholders, less and less confidence towards the economic recovery of Nokia.
"Tablet products are important, so we decided to interest us in this market sector, and in future we come with hybrid products and different form factor."
However during the same interview, Ollila, who is leaving after 27 years the company has reported that Nokia was not able to follow the revolution of smartphones, but that the combination of new products and services should help Nokia to return to the top.
Recall that Microsoft should start the marketing of Windows Tablet 8 after the summer, so it is conceivable to expect a Nokia Tablet later this year.

Teardown has shown that Nokia Lumia 900 building cost are $209

After one week of the first teardown, iSuppli estimated that it costs Nokia about $209 to build the Nokia Lumia 900
The cost, as assembly of a good standard, is not high. The hardware standards imposed by Microsoft for Windows Phone enables you to save on the cost of some components: ignoring the fact that 512Mb of RAM now have a relatively low price, even the single-core processor Qualcom saves several dollars. For example, while Nokia pays Qualcomm $ 17 processor, Samsung's dual-core Galaxy S2 pays $ 22.
It is also interesting the difference in price between the iPhone 4S and Nokia Lumia 900. Apple has a terminal cost of production is somewhere between $ 188 and $ 245, but in the U.S. without a contract has a retail price of $ 649, about $ 200 more than $ 450 imposed by Nokia for Lumia 900.
