The official UEFA EURO 2012 application arrives on Windows Phone


There are two months at the start of Euro 2012 and together with the Android and iPhone OS apps ,here comes the same app to Windows Phone with which you will be able to follow all official events, read news and see scores and play-offs.
Also available for Bada, BlackBerry and Java, Uefa Euro 2012 is free and will include the stream of news about teams, games, videos and interviews with direct textual comments of various matches.
Be enabled with push notifications, the application also has video highlights for a fee and then do not miss the opportunity to share content via Facebook or Twitter.
To support the informational side of the app are the "fun" with Photo Fun that will touch up our photos of our favorite team by adding tattoos on his face and geolocation capabilities and maps with augmented reality.

Plex officially arrives on Windows Phone



Plex is an application for home theater lovers that lets you watch movies, photos, videos, short or long term but also to listen to your favorite music directly on your Windows Phone smartphone.


Here is a brief description of Plex
The Plex application lets you use your smartphone Windows Phone to find and play multimedia files (video, photos and music) using the Plex Media Server installed on your PC, whether Windows, Mac or Linux. You can also view a list of online media sources.

RoadPilot - Speed camera warning system arrives for Windows Phone



RoadPilot Mobile turns your Windows 7 device into a LIVE speed camera warning system.RoadPilot Mobile  is now available on iPhone OS, Android, Symbian and BlackBerry. Based on system updates "social" members of the community, the app finally arrives on Windows Phone.
Operation is simple: an easy to see, a system that checks for updates at intervals schedulable by us and warnings of speed cameras, traffic light cameras, fixed and mobile stations, including the tutor.
App key, especially when driving in a city that we know little or abroad: in fact also shows us RoadPilot traffic areas for a fee (the famous congestion charge) with clear and precise (voice and text) and a bar progress update us on the distance from velox.
The price is not the cheapest: $4.99 can be considered an investment to avoid fines, but compared to the average of the other applications is still a considerable amount!

Evernote for Windows Phone is upgraded to version 2.2


The popular application Evernote continues in its development recently received a new update that pushes its current version to 2.2. In this latest update of new features have been implemented thatwe list below

Homebrew :Lock Widgets Beta release for Windows Phone



After much work, here comes the first beta release of Lock Widgets , the application that allows you to enter the lock screen of a kind Live Tile can provide information to the user, such as RSS feeds,pictures, weather, etc..

In this beta version lacks many features and enhancements, but the developers have stated that they are already working on an updated and improved version.

Here are some things to know before installing Lock Widgets:
  • Your device must be rooted. More specifically, the application needs root privileges. More info on that later. (That's good)
  • The "debug" widget adds the last updated info to the bottom of the screen.This is useful stuff for testing.
  • The widgets update every 30 minutes. This is due to background task restrictions.

NDrive - Satellite navigator coming soon to Windows Phone


NDrive could be the first satellite navigation software with maps stored in the memory to reach 100% of the smartphone market, became available for each platform.

Good news for the Google + users, finally Google will be providing Windows Phone users with official Google + application, as a PR Spokesperson from Google Germany, Stefan Keuchel, has revealed that an official Google+ app is on the way to Windows Phone.


This is indeed surprising because Google has succesfully avoided Windows Phone platform by not releasing any official application for it’s popular products like Google Maps, Google Mail,  Google Reader while developing simultaneously for multiple platforms like Symbian, iOS and of course Android.

WeatherBug bumped to version 2.0 for Windows Phone now supports Live Tiles



Many enhancements to the 2.0 major release of one of the best applications for the weather forecast available on Windows Phone, WeatherBug.
A witness to the fact that it is a major release, in addition to the numbers, even the decision to make the program available as a separate application and not as an upgrade of previous version 1.0.
Among the new features introduced, the most important are certainly the Live Tiles , integrated perfectly with the color schemes of Metro, which makes it possible to display both predictions (standard, 1 day or 2 days) to see the images taken in real time from various webcams, if any.

Microsoft Weather updated to version 2.0 with Mango and Live Tile support



Weather is an application developed by Microsoft for Windows Phone that lets us know the weather forecast for selected cities.

The application has recently received a new update that pushes its version 2.0 where we have implemented to support Mango and  multiple  Live Tiles. Version 2.0 application implements:
  • Instant recovery
  • Ability to add a Live Tile for each city

PrimeTube: the new YouTube client for Windows Phone now available in Marketplace



It took exactly one month, but eventually PrimeTube, the new YouTube client for Windows Phone that we 've talked about in February , is now available on Marketplace.
As already written above, it is possible for a client very complete and very rich in a wide range of features such as:
  • search of video using filters and sorting the result of the research;
  • possibility of saying that a video like it or not, and to read and reply to comments ;
  • saving of videos, playlists, and authors such as pins on the homescreen of the phone

The well know homebrew application Windows Phone Device Manager, developed by Julien Schapman just got upgraded to version 1.10,and it is available in public beta.

Windows Phone Device Manager comes in package of two separate applications, one to be installed on a PC and on your Windows Phone (TouchXperience).

The Windows Phone marketplace exceeds 70,000 applications!



In just over a month, in the marketplace Windows Phone 10 000 applications have been certified, passing the 60,000 achieved in the third week of January to 70,000 users in these days.

The amount of applications that are submitted daily on the marketplace is around 250 units.Of these 70 000, more than 28 000 have been added in the last 90 days and almost 7 000 were added in the last 30 days. Of allapplications, 65% are distributed for free, paying 11% are distributed along with a free trial and the remaining 24% are distributed for a fee, without a trial.

The most populated section of the marketplace is "entertainment" with 18%, followed by the "tools and productivity", with 14%, after "games" with 13% and follow "books", "news and weather," "travel and navigation "," lifestyle "and the remaining sections cover a percentage below 5%.

Nokia creates tools for developers to advertise Windows Phone apps



Now are months that Nokia and Microsoft are working closely together to expand the ecosystem Windows Phone. So, after having organized several meetings with developers, while also offering free terminals, Nokia has decided to create tools that allow you to create banner ads and video banners to promote the applications.
