Windows Phone is continuing is steady growth despite the tough competition by Android and iOS. According to the newest Kantar reports, Windows Phone is taking more and more market share and positioning is self in third place, pushing BlackBerry down the ladder.
The data provided by Kantar refer to smartphone sales occurred in the three months prior to February 28, 2013 and photograph a rather positive gains for Windows Phone, which continues to gain market share in a number of countries, including Italy (13.1%), Germany (6.8%), United Kingdom (6.7%) and the US (4.1%).
The merit of these encouraging results is mainly attributable to the new Windows Phone 8 devices from Nokia , HTC and Samsung. But also, perhaps, to a significant loss of market share of RIM, with its new BlackBerry, is not getting great results in sales, probably due to the price at which offers its smartphones.
