Sneak peak at ZTE Windows Phone 7.8/8 range


It seems that ZTE is pretty close to launch its smartphones with Windows Phone 8/Windows Phone 7.8.At the moment, the only smartphone based on Windows Phone is the ZTE Tania, but this is about to change.


In a tweet from  Dennis Lui, marketing manager of ZTE, was seen the photos taken by him (at the beginning of the article) with the caption " Two heads are better than one  . " This could mean many things, among others, the possibility for ZTE to adopt both Windows Phone 8, Windows Phone 7.8, it obviously dedicated to the low end of the market.

ZTE Tania with upgraded 1.4GHz processor will be out in China by the end of the month


Windows Phone continues its climb to the summit of the smartphone world, a tough and rugged mountains, full of obstacles that today are called iPhone and Android. Nokia has succeeded in giving a burst but the percentages are still not able to trouble the competition.
One of the strategies that Microsoft - together with the producers - is pursuing, is to raise the bar of quality / price ratio, offering smartphone can offer excellent performance even in the medium/low market.

ZTE Announced New Windows Phone Device named Orbit


The ZTE Orbit joins the ZTE Tania smartphone in the company’s portfolio of Windows Phone-based devices. The ZTE Tania is commercially available in the UK and Sweden and other countries around the world. 

“Microsoft is excited to continue partnering with ZTE to bring new Windows Phones to market.  We look forward to the availability of ZTE Orbit in major markets around the world in the second quarter of 2012,” said Mark Linton, Senior Director of the OEM Division, Microsoft.  
“The Windows Phone platform is as powerful as it is intuitive, enabling us to create and deliver exciting new devices that meet real consumer demand,” saidMr. He Shiyou,Executive Vice President and Head of the Terminal Division of ZTE. “Our partnership with Microsoft is a key component of our strategy to grow our share of the smartphone market. ZTE is proud to be at the forefront of device manufacturers who are using the Windows Phone platform.”
The ZTE Orbit is based on the latest version of Windows Phone and comes with 4GB of memory, HD Voice, and a 5Mpx autofocus camera with LED flash. The ZTE Orbit will be available in the second quarter of this year.

ZTE To Unveil New Windows Phones At MWC 2012


ZTE revealed their plans to unveil new Windows Phones. They claim that they are going to be releasing a flagship, quad-core handset, on top of devices with LTE, 4G radio, and “the latest Android and Windows Mobile platforms.” Now, the question here is, what OS will that flagship device be running. If Android, will they be creating a Windows Phone counterpart?

ZTE already has a Windows Phone device in the market called Tania. ZTE Tania sports 4.3” TFT LCD screen, HSPA+ data speeds, and a 1.0 GHz single-core processor,  5-megapixel rear camera and 4 GB of storage.

Tango will be released in mainland China in the first three weeks of March.


Chinese website WPDang has shared some more news about the next big Windows Phone update named Tango.
According to WPDang website all Mango devices can be updated to Tango, and in China special modifications will be included.

The Chinese specific changes will include :
  • Tango of China would have the Xbox Live function removed
  • WeiBo (Chinese version of Twitter) and RenRen (Chinese version of Facebook) would be used to replace Twitter and Facebook which cannot be accessed in China
  • Bing search result would be based on a combination of Bing and BaiDu, the Chinese no.1 search engine


Tango will be announced at Mobile World Congress 2012 and will launch in Beijing in China at an event in the 3rd week of March, attended by HTC, Nokia, ZTE and LG who will be showing their Tango-powered devices off there.

Nokia has almost half of 50% of Second Generation Windows Phone market share



Great news for all Nokia fans it looks that Nokia has almost half of second generation Windows Phones market share.According to the statistics from OccasionalGamer, Nokia has already surpassed all others in OEM sales of smartphones with WP7 OS. The statistics speak for the fact that Nokia has a market share reached 45 percent, followed by HTC with a good 40%.



As regards the global market, however, the Finnish company still owns 4%, while HTC dominates reaching 55% share
