Skype for Windows Phone in testing, release to the public at the Mobile World Congress


Joe Belfiore had announced the arrival of the official Skype application on Windows Phone platform by the end of 2011. Unfortunately this did not happen, but it seems to come from the latest news that the release will happen soon.

According to the TheVerge , Microsoft has started testing for its official Skype client. Many observers have received the news that Microsoft employees are able to download the official application from the marketplaceWindows Phone.Skype for Windows Phone Metro adopts the familiar user interface, this classic platform, depending on the head, the graphics will be very similar to what you can see in this article.

As previously announced, the application will, at least initially, not integrated into the operating system, Microsoft has worked hard on this client, and many are willing to bet that the result will be great.TheVerge announced that at least one of his sources informed him that the launch of Skype for Windows Phone may be at Mobile World Congress 2012, scheduled later this month.

Windows Phone 8: Some important details revealed by Joe Belfiore


Microsoft certainly has major plans for the future of Windows Phone, the site pocketnow colleagues have revealed some features of the next major update called Windows Phone 8 (Apollo)

The revelation,  coming directly from Joe Belfiore in a video for the partners at Nokia. The following features are revealed:

Hardware: Windows Phone 8 will be compatible with multicore processors, four different screen resolutions (without specifying which ones) and support for microSD removable memory card. There is also the support NFC technology.

Developer: Phone Windows 8 will allow developers to use most of the code of the app for Windows 8 (Desktop) and vice versa (so the rumor that the two systems will use the same kernel seem to be confirmed). Microsoft also plans an advanced version of ActiveSync as a substitute for the Zune client.

[Rumor] HTC HD8 Windows Phone with Apollo coming in the future?

With the arrival of Windows 7 Phone, HTC has developed a new device naming HD7 that natively implement this new system from Microsoft. 
Rumors say that HTC is working on a newterminal, HTC HD8 which is easy to conclude, will be powered by the upcoming Windows Phone natively Apollo (aka Windows Phone 8). 

In the appp "I'm a WP7!" this handset been sighted on December 30, 2011, with 7740 version of Windows Phone. Maybe they are doing the first tests on the device awaiting the arrival of Windows Phone Apollo.

Obviously this news is taken as a rumor since no official source said the existence of this new terminal.
