Farewell to AppHub, Microsoft announced the new Windows Phone Dev Center!



In preparation for the rumored, upcoming release of Windows Phone SDK 8 (of which a version has already appeared, as a leak on the web), Microsoft has updated its AppHub,the system through which it manages the submission of the app to the Windows Phone Marketplace. 

The update follows a previously announced maintenance, which has blocked the use of the AppHub all day on Monday.

Starting today,the AppHub was renamed and becomes Windows Phone Dev Center and responds to new address .

AppHub now open for 23 new countries


Todd Brix, on official Microsoft blog, windowsteamblog  has just announced that the marketplace is available in 23 new countries announced previously. Todd invites developers to build applications and make them available in these new markets bearing in mind that in some of these policies will be implemented under different certification because of local laws and that the time of certification that you have to wait to see your application on the marketplace once it is sent at least 7 days.

Marketplace expanding to six more countries.New Markets for Windows Phone Developers


Microsoft’s Todd Brix has announced that Microsoft will start an update to App Hub that will enable you to distribute apps and games to even more customers in more markets. App Hub now allows you to submit apps for distribution in 6 new markets; Argentina, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Peru and the Philippines. 

Although you will be able to now select these markets for distribution in App Hub, the Windows Phone Marketplace is not yet available to customers in these markets.

Also included in this release are a number of minor enhancements and bug fixes, including improvements that will streamline the payout process and enhance reporting to provide data like crash counts and exceptions to assist in improving your apps
