Microsoft reasures users not to worry about Windows Phone 8 support ending



Microsoft decision to end the  support for Windows Phone 8 in July 2014, put on your toes burned by the experience of many users that Windows Phone 7 sold on terminals also expensive and then essentially abandoned, they feared would be repeated the same thing with WP 8. Luckily this time that not will be the case.

Nokia and Microsoft sign carrier billing agreement with VimpelCom


Microsoft and Nokia have signed agreement with VimpelCom, the 6th global carrier in the world. The name of the carrier may not be familiar, but the brand of VimpelCom include, “Beeline” (in Russia and CIS), “Kyivstar” (in Ukraine), “Wind” (in Italy and Canada), “Djezzy” (in Algeria), “Mobilink” (in Pakistan), “Banglalink” (in Bangladesh), and others and has 205 million customers across 20 countries.

Windows Phone 7.8 coming to all WP7.5 devices today?



While we all waiting some official information from Microsoft regarding the Windows Phone 7.8 upgrade, the Chinese  site WPDang reports that they learned from from a reliable source that today January 30th Microsoft will start global distribution  of Windows Phone 7.8 update. Just a reminder that this a rumors, but WPDang so far in the past has proved to be quite reliable source of information about Windows Phone devices.

Nokia will pay more than $40 per WP license in Q1 2013, meaning that Nokia WP royalties will be bigger than current Microsoft platform payments


In Q4 of 2012, Nokia has managed to make profit of $ 584.7 million. $334 million of operating profit from the property are Nokia Siemens Networks, while the sale of mobile devices counted for $ 367 million, from which 2.2 million Symbian and 4.4 million Lumia smartphones, achieved thanks to the success of smartphones like the Lumia 920 due to higher profit margin.
