Rumor - Three new Samsung Windows Phones coming in 2012?

Lately Samsung does not seem to be very engaged in the development and promotion of Windows Phone smartphones, we also confirmed this by Simon Stanford, who said recently that Windows Phone is not a priority for the company at the time, effort have focused on the Android operating system.

The site WPDang were still able to get news from a very reliable source that Samsung will not abandon Windows Phones and will still be main player in Microsoft's operating system. In fact, according to the source, Samsung will release three new Windows Phones in 2012, one of them is rumored that will be Samsung Mandel, with support for LTE and with Tango on board.

The other two smartphones are still unknown, the only information released is which will come with Windows Phone 8 (Apollo), presumably towards the end of 2012.

Microsoft confirmed that current windows app will run on Windows Phone 8

Microsoft on its blog had confirmed that current Windows Phone applications and games will run on the next major version of Windows Phone aka Apollo or Windows Phone 8.
“With regard to existing applications: today’s Windows Phone applications and games will run on the next major version of Windows Phone. Driving application compatibility is a function of Microsoft’s commitment to its developers. Regardless of what we release in terms of new developer features and functionality, we have made a large investment in protecting your existing investments,”
Silverlight for Windows Phone will be discontinued – at least in that way we know it today.
Please don’t panic; XAML and C#/VB.NET development in Windows 8 can be viewed as a direct evolution from today’s Silverlight. All of your managed programming skills are transferrable to building applications for Windows 8, and in many cases, much of your code will be transferrable as well.

The Lumia 900’s Screen is 40% Less Reflective Than the iPhone and Best of Any Mobile Device

As we all know Nokia is using in its Lumia smartphones an AMOLED screen with Nokia ClearBlack proprietary technology, this allows to minimize the reflection of the screen.

Well, according to screen expert Raymond Soneira, president of DisplayMate Technologies, there's at least one other explanation that stands out: reflectance.

DisplayMate Technologies discovered that Nokia's Lumia 900 screen manages to skirt the dilemma with that ClearBlack display technology, with "circularly polarized" glare-suppressing optics.

Raymond Soneira has reported that the Lumia 900 has "the lowest screen reflectance of any mobile device they have measured  "4.4 percent, which is almost 40 percent lower than the iPhone 4.

Nokia Lumia 900 coming in Europe in early May according to Swisscom

The Swiss mobile operator Swisscom has provided useful information to further narrow the date of arrival of the much expected Nokia Lumia 900 smartphone.
Swisscom, via Twitter, confirmed that the device will be available in early May , so probably within the first rather than by the second half of the month.
Anticipating delivery of Lumia 900 could represent a major move to boost market share of Windows Phone and Nokia in Europe. The old continent could then be essential to expand the installed base of devices worldwide Lumia considered  the current uncertainty of the U.S. market .

The future of Nokia in the U.S. will depend on the sales of Lumia 900?

Nokia, after many years of abssence, is trying to boost its market share and its image in the United States. Given the publicity campaign carried out in collaboration with AT &T if Lumia does not reach 900 in just one quarter at least one million units sold, the image of Nokia could be heavily damaged.
"It will be an uphill struggle. The Nokia brand is lagging behind Samsung and Apple. I do not think that the phone can be successful "(Matthew Thornton, an analyst at Avian).
The price established for the Lumia 900 is almost half of that required for an iPhone. And then Nokia is looking at all the ways to revive sales in a market, the smartphone, which is driven by innovation and consumer trends.
"This will make us understand what Nokia smartphones will rise again. The United States, after the rise of the iPhone, represent the largest market for mobile devices "(Alex Spektor, analyst at Strategy Analytics).

Windows Phone Marketplace has now 82,000 applications

Bronze medal for Microsoft, although the level of sales has not yet become the third largest in the world of smart phones, with regard to applications exceeds Symbian and BlackBerry.
The two operating systems, in fact, count some 70,000 respectively Ovi app Store and App World and last month served to Windows Phone to break away from competitors thanks to 10,228 new app in March bringing the total count to 82,000.
The numbers are not yet sufficient to worry about Android and iPhone OS, respectively the second and third place with more than 450,000 and 550,000 app. The growth of the WP Marketplace, however, expect a continual progress, if it continues at current rates, will allow Windows Phone Marketplace to reach 100,000 apps in May.
Going into detail of the various formats, the U.S. is still leading with 69,123 applications available for this market, while China, the last in time to debut with Windows Phone is stuck at 21,530.

FCC reveals LG Windows Phone for Sprint?

This isn't the first time we've seen the LG Windows Phone LS831.  It's appeared on WP Bench and we first caught wind of the device being at the FCC back in October 2011 but only had the FCC ID label to show for it.  There's even some speculation this is the LG Fantasy.  Now we have pictures (doesn't look like the leaked pics of the Fantasy) and more information that could make the LS831 Sprints new Windows Phone.

FCC documentation on the LG LS831 indicates this Windows Phone support CDMA in the EMSR 800MHz band. A band used by Sprint.  The LG Windows Phone also supports the 1900MHz CDMA band.  Along with the banding, you also have a Sprint/Nextel Waiver included in the FCC Documentation that ties the mysterious device to Sprint.
