Huawei says its ready for the launch of its smartphone with Windows Phone 8?

Huawei has focused heavily on Android during MWC 2012, showing the public a wide range of excellent smartphones based on that platform. However, with the imminent arrival of Windows Phone 8 by the end of this year Huawei also like Samsung and (maybe) Sony may decide to produce even a smartphone based on that OS, passing by a little green robot competition to the Windows Phone.
Sources close to the manufacturer will admit that the staff of Huawei is working closely with the guys at Microsoft, employing about 70 engineers for the project that could give birth to one of the upcoming smartphone with Windows Phone Apollo.

Microsoft confirmed that current windows app will run on Windows Phone 8

Microsoft on its blog had confirmed that current Windows Phone applications and games will run on the next major version of Windows Phone aka Apollo or Windows Phone 8.
“With regard to existing applications: today’s Windows Phone applications and games will run on the next major version of Windows Phone. Driving application compatibility is a function of Microsoft’s commitment to its developers. Regardless of what we release in terms of new developer features and functionality, we have made a large investment in protecting your existing investments,”
Silverlight for Windows Phone will be discontinued – at least in that way we know it today.
Please don’t panic; XAML and C#/VB.NET development in Windows 8 can be viewed as a direct evolution from today’s Silverlight. All of your managed programming skills are transferrable to building applications for Windows 8, and in many cases, much of your code will be transferrable as well.

MSnerd: All Windows Phone smartphones will be upgraded to Windows Phone 8

MSnerd is an "anonymous" user f who has been pretty reliable when it comes to Microsoft leaks. From a question put to him on here comes his statement regarding the release of Windows Phone 8 terminals for first and second generation.

These are the words of MSnerd about upgrading to Windows 8 Phone:
"There are hopes for Windows Phone users to receive first and second generation of Windows Phone 8?
Yes, all phones Windows Phone will receive a subset of Apollo.  operators are the main obstacle in the United States.  Microsoft has pushed hard for the release of Mango in a short time for everyone, as well as Nokia and HTC.Some features of Apollo will be exclusive to Terminal 3 generation who should be released this fall using the MSM8960 platform."
See the release of Windows Phone 8 also on the devices of the first generation would be without doubt a coup for Microsoft and would give users much confidence about purchasing new smartphones with Windows Phone OS.

Microsoft is testing Windows Phone apps on Windows 8?

Microsoft would be trying the applications developed for Windows Phone on desktop / tablet Windows 8 platform.This at least according to statistics released by the Windows Phone "I'ma WP7."

The application that allows you to find out the percentage use of the app in different versions of Windows Phone, now also shows the desktop version of Microsoft's operating system. As we can clearly see from above 1% of users using the app used Windows 8 operating system, namely the build 6.2.8283.0.

This survey has been able to think that Windows 8 can start the applications developed for Windows Phone in order to have more than 70,000 touch-friendly applications to launch.

Nokia working on two new Windows Phone devices "Nokia Prodigy" and "AC / DC"

According to the reports from anonymous sources, but close enough to the company, Nokia is preparing two new Windows Phone handsets for AT&T: Nokia Prodigy and AC / DC.

While the AC / DC should be a  mid-range device, the Nokia Prodigy should be the first Microsoft 'superphone'  with Windows Phone 8 and dual core processor. It is unclear whether the two smartphones will be the exclusive AT&T, but there should be no problems for the arrival of their European versions (as has happened with Lumia 900).

The arrival on the market for Nokia Prodigy and AC / DC is expected later this year.
