Telus Canada announced the Tango update for LG Optimus 7 on 20th June,13 July for Nokia Lumia 800!




The Canadian phone operator Telus through a PDF in their official page dedicated to updates, announces the release of Windows Phone Tango "Consumer Mango Refresh 3"  for LG Optimus 7 will arrive Wednesday, June 20.

The Nokia Lumia 610 GPU beats the performance of the first set of Windows Phone smartphones

LG Italy - LG Optimus 7 will not get upgraded to Windows Phone 8 (updated - LG Italy already rejected the tweet)



The last few days were full with rumors about whether or not the first-generation Windows Phone smartphones will be upgraded to Windows Phone 8.


Now the italian site Plaffo reports that LG Italy via Twitter confirmed that the LG Optimus 7 will not get upgraded to Windows Phone 8 , which will not please the LG Optimus 7 owners or in fact all first generation wp7 smartphone owners.


"Hello, no, no upgraded to Windows 8 as confirmed by Microsoft."

Telus is having a 72 hour sale, and are offering their first generation Windows Phone handsets, the LG Optimus 7 and the HTC Surround, for free on a one year plan.

A new update for LG Optimus 7( Version 7.10.8107)


Surprisingly, here comes a new update to the operating system for LG Optimus 7, this update fixes several minor bugs found in previous versions.

Plaffo is noting that their LG Optimus 7 just received the very same update: The version of the operating system goes specifically to version 7.10.8107.79.More exciting is the news that it came with a list of changes, most of which will make most folks very happy: 

  • It solves a problem of the keyboard on the screen, preventing the keyboard to disappear while typing Resolves an issue with syncing Gmail 
  • It solves a problem of access to the location. 
  • After the upgrade, the function IO hub sends to Microsoft anonymous information contact the Wi-Fi access points and antennas for mobile phones in the vicinity, only if you have allowed access to and use of location information from part of the "I'm here." 
  • Revocation of certificates issued by DigiCert Sdn Bhd to solve a problem of encryption
