Given the capabilities, Microsoft has taken the team to find a way to unlock the devices in an official Windows Phone without a developer account that requires an annual cost of $ 99. The Chevron Labs team in collaboration with Microsoft has created a well-known experiment called ChevronWP7 Labs, for a small fee of $ 9 selling you token that allow you to developer unlock your WP smartphone. This method has had an immediate success because 10,000 tokens were sold in less than two months.

Team Chevron has stated that the agreement with Microsoft included only 10,000 tokens, sold out in just two months. In this regard, the service has been suspended for an unspecified time
The team has just published an article on its official blog saying that the service has been permanently discontinued.

Windows Phone Marketplace - Microsoft working to improve the certification process of the apps in WP Marketplace

As shown by the latest figures reported days ago , Windows Phone Marketplace is growing but with the increase in applications submitted by developers for certification, you discover the real bottleneck of the system.
Lately, in fact, Microsoft acknowledged that the growth rates of the store may be much higher but to clip the wings of these dreams of glory fall on the certification process of the app, a system of control of code and content to avoid spread of malware and inappropriate content.
And 'the voice of Todd Brix to confirm this, stating that in the last three months were 30,000 new applications and new servers and a system of certification of new generation will come in the summer 2012 to minimize the lag between submission of the app and availability in the market.
We have plans of both medium and long term. We are already developing a service for the marketplace more "robust" and that will solve the problem is scalable will make way for even higher growth rates that we expect for years to come. The work of engineering, however, can not be executed in one night: according to our plans will be complete by late Summer 2012.
Until then we apply short-term control measures including the addition of more capacity in servers to better handle the load and a streamlining of the process to speed up the publication of the app.

Sales of the Nokia Lumia 900 exceed the expectations of AT&T

The Nokia 900 Lumia has already made his debut in the U.S. market and is preparing to reach our continent in the month of May. The American public seems to have a very warm welcome in the current flagship of the Finnish manufacturer. The declarations of the leaders of AT&T, in fact, point out that sales a few days after launch were higher than what was budgeted. A good start for Lumia 900 that hopefully can get the same result also important when it reaches other contries
The Lumia 900 is a device that has many responsibilities: to help determine the future of Nokia in the U.S. , expand the installed base of Windows Phone Nokia in Europe and Asia. The stakes, as we know, is very high because of the situation of great difficulty that the Finnish company is going through in recent months, which is needed to overcome to win back market share in the smartphone segment.

Teardown has shown that Nokia Lumia 900 building cost are $209

After one week of the first teardown, iSuppli estimated that it costs Nokia about $209 to build the Nokia Lumia 900
The cost, as assembly of a good standard, is not high. The hardware standards imposed by Microsoft for Windows Phone enables you to save on the cost of some components: ignoring the fact that 512Mb of RAM now have a relatively low price, even the single-core processor Qualcom saves several dollars. For example, while Nokia pays Qualcomm $ 17 processor, Samsung's dual-core Galaxy S2 pays $ 22.
It is also interesting the difference in price between the iPhone 4S and Nokia Lumia 900. Apple has a terminal cost of production is somewhere between $ 188 and $ 245, but in the U.S. without a contract has a retail price of $ 649, about $ 200 more than $ 450 imposed by Nokia for Lumia 900.

Windows Phone has 7% of the market in Norway

This was another feedback on the achievement, by Microsoft, the third position in certain markets. Unlike the results in Finland, which historically has the highest brand loyalty to Nokia, the data from Norway are encouraging.
Given that the situation of Windows Phone in the U.S. is still tragic, it seems that the European market is responding well and Netcom, the second carrier in the country, it shows data in hand.

Immediately after S2 Galaxy, iPhone and iPhone 4S 4 we find the 800 and Lumia, speaking in terms of numbers, it is interesting to note that from 1% in February has gone to 7% in March.
Before you declare victory must await further data and hope they reach a double digit number. This is an isolated phenomenon or we will see progress in other European countries?
