(Homebrew) Video Preview of Lock Widgets application

Last month we announced that the team WindowsphoneHacker had started a new project to bring some sort of Live Tile/Widgets on the lock screen for Windows Phone

The developers, through its blog ,finally decided to show to what extent has come the development of this application. Lock Widgets, the name chosen for this application, let you fill in the screenblock a sort of Live Tile able to provide information to the user, such as RSS, images, weather, etc.

Developers write that found several problems in development, but that was a way to learn new features of Silverlight, background tasks, and restrictions of Windows Phone. The application still in development is previewed through a video uploaded to YouTube, of course, the app still has some bugs and you have to make an optimization work before the official release.

Homebrew: ‘Lock screen widgets’ development for Windows Phone 7

The image shown above is a snapshot of a new application they are working on. Practically the homebrew application under development will allow to insert the lock screen a sort of Live Tile able to provide information to the user, suchas RSS feeds, pictures, weather, etc.

The application name was not decided as yet, but have in mind to call it "lock widgets" or something like that. Another interesting feature that would implement this application is to change the lock screen wallpaper automatically according to the images that offers bing day after opening the app using the search button.

Jaxbot from WindowsPhoneHacker has just released new homebrew application. This application is very, very simple. It finds the handle of the accelerometer, and then sends a close device command to it.

So far this homebrew app can be used only on LG and Samsung smarphones but they have to be interop unlocked since this is howebrew app.
