Windows Phone OEM's are demanding more UI flexibility on Windows Phone 8
According to Digitimes Taiwan OEM's have urged Microsoft to provide more flexibility to enable smartphone makers to modify applications and the user interface on Window Phone 8 so that smartphone makers will be able to come out with differentiated devices, according to industry sources.
Apparently OEMs believe that hardware differentiation is not enough, and hence they are making calls for a differentiated software experience, which will most definitely kill the timely OS updates, if allowed.
"Microsoft should count on the launch of Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 to compete with iOS and Android in the second half of 2012, since PC users will be more eager to take up Windows Phone 8 smartphones if they are familiar with Windows 8. As a result, Microsoft should adjust its policy to enable IT product developers to develop applications for PCs, tablet PCs and smartphones, therefore expanding the Windows Phone's ecosystem in a fast manner, the sources commented."
So far the only OEM allowed to customize Windows Phone was Nokia and so far we haven't done anything so far, but enjoyed the very good sales, mainly because of the commitment Nokia made to marketing the its Windows Phone devices.

Microsoft patents virtual gaming glasses and helmet for Windows Phone and Xbox
It seems that plans for the future of Microsoft's gaming industry covering a mix of past and future and they can be discovered by a patent registered in Q3 2010 and published March 15, 2012.
These are two ideas that could be used for Windows Phone and Xbox 360 (or the next generation of Xbox) which take 3D glasses and a helmet for virtual reality.
Simulated by a virtual screen display mounted on helmet / glasses that allows the peripheral vision to sense its surroundings and at the same time creates a stereoscopic image using the laser. Yet it is unclear the precise working and future applications, as well as we do not know if the system is indeed transformed into an accessory for gaming soon.
Sure, it would be a good idea, especially if associated with Kinect to bring the player deeper and deeper into the virtual worlds of various titles.

Windows Phone “Tango" limitations and new features officially confirmed
Microsoft revealed the next update to Windows Phone 7.5, codenamed “Tango”, during MWC this year. However, the company had been particularly silent about this update, mainly due to the fact that the update is targeted at bringing the OS to lower device requirements (such as supporting Qualcomm 7x27a processors and 256 MB of RAM) rather than bringing new features.

An icon will alert you when your applications use the location service in the Tango update
Microsoft has recently updated its page devoted to information about Windows Phone inserting a new feature that will come with the Tango update.
A new icon will be added in the notifications bar hidden link at the top of Windows Phone, this icon will be displayed only when an application uses the location service on Windows Phone(GPS or network).
This new icon (you can see in the picture above), will be displayed only if we enabled the "position" on the settings of Windows Phone, which allows applications to precisely know our exact location.
Microsoft informed that this feature will be included with the next update of Windows Phone (Tango) , which will first pre-installed on new devices and later as an upgrade for the "old" devices.
"After the new devices are out, we'll start the process of working with mobile operators to bring an update to current customers"

Nokia working on two new Windows Phone devices "Nokia Prodigy" and "AC / DC"
According to the reports from anonymous sources, but close enough to the company, Nokia is preparing two new Windows Phone handsets for AT&T: Nokia Prodigy and AC / DC.
While the AC / DC should be a mid-range device, the Nokia Prodigy should be the first Microsoft 'superphone' with Windows Phone 8 and dual core processor. It is unclear whether the two smartphones will be the exclusive AT&T, but there should be no problems for the arrival of their European versions (as has happened with Lumia 900).
The arrival on the market for Nokia Prodigy and AC / DC is expected later this year.

According to DigiTimes and its sources, Huawei in China would like to spread the new Microsoft OS in the first half of 2012, during which time Nokia also will attempt the same maneuver with their devices Lumia.
Unfortunately (for Microsoft), the Chinese territory is dominated by the bitter battle that ZTE, Huawei itself, Coolpad and Technology Xiaomi are "fighting" for dominance in the low-cost market segment, where the open policy of Android that law.

Nokia Lumia 800 Microsoft Store bundle launching February 14th for $899
Nokia has already presented the Lumia 900 in the U.S. market and enabled the pre-orders for the device . Lumia The 800 is preparing to reach the American public , but according to latest rumors, to take possession of the smartphone users may have to face an extra outlay.
The Lumia 800, in fact, should be marketed starting from 14th February, together with a set of accessories that would increase the price .The rumor, reported by sources close to Microsoft, would refer to a range of accessories made from Play Nokia 360 , the wireless speaker, from Purity HD stereo headphones and a Bluetooth headset in-ear headphones .
The total package (smart phones and accessories) would cost $ 899. Microsoft chose to distribute exclusively in this mode the device in the U.S., at least initially. The distribution will be through the Microsoft retail shops and it will be unlocked
Microsoft announced at CES in Las Vegas will to move towards commercialization of the device in U.S. retail outlets and the project will continue in the coming weeks and extend to white version of Lumia 800 recently introduced in our market.Sobering in any case the commercial strategy that seems to discourage the user who intends to prefer Lumia Lumia 800 compared to 900. It could be argued that the Finnish do not want to steal the limelight from the top of the range of Windows Phone Nokia in the U.S. may only be distributed later.
